T-Mobile has just announced that starting today, will be available the official Android update Ice Cream Sandwich to the Galaxy S2.
This has been a long awaited update for users of the operator, who initially had doubts of its release, since Samsung made public in the first list of devices that receive ICS.
Unfortunately, the ICS Android firmware for S2 Galaxy will not be available via OTA, so you need to connect our devices to the PC to apply through the Samsung Kies software.
Updating T-Mobile will be available starting tonight at 11 pm EST / 8 PM PST.
instructions
- Download Samsung Kies (here)
- Install and open Kies on the PC
- Enable USB debugging on the phone in Settings> Menu> Applications> Development
- Connect your phone via USB
- Click and accept the update
- Ready!
Although application of the new firmware should not delete any data, as a precaution, you should make a backup of phone data and micro-SD card.
